Just couldn't resist that pun! And, really, aren't they? Love the fabric, even though it's from JoAnn's. Let's face it, you have to dig through a lot of hideous fabric to find cute stuff there! It's not cute and fun like I've heard Bolt is. Oh, and Frock. But, ya know, it's the first fabric store I'd ever been to as a kid. It's familiar, like your mom's closet. You knew were the clothes were that you wanted to have handed down to you and you knew which to avoid. That's JoAnn's for me. OK back to the pants, they were very easy, so I know I will make more. For myself, possibly for friends. They're a tad big, but isn't that how you want pajama pants to be? The class was great, mostly b/c of the instructor, Sally. She was really easy to follow and quite witty to boot. Oh, and she reads Posy Gets Cozy, the cutest blog on the planet!
The best thing about these pants is that I now have the confidence to try other projects. I think the next one I'll tackle is making a slipcover for my hideous (but reliable) computer chair. It's still usable, but really needs a makeover.
It's nice and quiet in the apartment right now, and I'm feeling quite cozy. Did a bit of crafting and organizing of my sewing/craft area today, which really is the best part for me. I love to put things in their place and label them. Hm. What does that say? It's looking pretty cute over here right now, but not exactly to the point where I want to post a picture yet. Perhaps I need another cup of motivation (see today's earlier post). We're going out for sushi tonight (no, I don't actually eat it. I will eat a meal before we go and have drinks at the restaurant...I just can't get past the raw fish thing.) with some friends from work, so that should be fun! Plan for the rest of the afternoon: clean out metal cabinet and sort sewing supplies. Try not to get lost in this month's issue of Romantic Homes. Have a Vanilla Lolly pop.
