Oh, I have a stash, alright! My stash of fabric is infamous among my crafty friends. Infamous due to sheer size and the fact that I'm loathe to cut into it! It's been said that I don't actually sew, I just collect fabric. Well! Now that I have space to have a project out, the time has come! I've cut into my Amy Butler Midwest Mod stash and started a quilt with it...who knows what crazy thing I might do next!
Heather Ross is one of my favorite fabric designers. Love the detail in her prints, the feel of the fabric and the fun themes! I've been hoarding away, bit by bit, some pieces of her fabrics featuring coffee and cats.
Eventually, these will be made into an early morning quilt for me. Early mornings filled with, you guessed it, coffee and cats. The coffee and cat fabrics are actually from pajamas in her Munki Munki line. You know your designs are popular when people disassemble brand new clothing just for the fabric!
Still trying to decide what quilt pattern to incorporate these into! There is very little of each print due to their rarity, so the quilt will need to have a lot of white space. I could go with a simple patchwork, but I'd like to do something more modern. Any ideas?
